The club has been teaching gymnastics for over 15 years and in that time has produced County and Regional Champions as well as gymnasts who have represented the County and Region at National Level competitions. We have mixed classes for Babies, Parent and Toddlers, Pre school children and adults. We also run recreational and competitive gymnastics, trampoline classes and cheerleading. We are currently situated in Aspen Way at Yalberton Industrial Estate.
We have an excellent coaching team, with all our coaches qualified in accordance with the governing body requirements. We are a British Gymnastics GymMark awarded club. The club is managed on a day to day basis by the management team, who in turn are overseen by the main committee.
The gymnasts are led by our Club Captain who is chosen each year based on achievements, commitment to the club and being seen as a role model by the other gymnasts.
Gymnastics is primarily about co-ordinating body movement. It also involves body and self awareness, basic motor skills, self discipline, listening skills, working as part of a team, managing energy levels, confidence building, colour recognition, number recognition and so the list goes on! As a grounding for all other sports and activities gymnastics is recognised as being one of the best, so even if your child does not pursue gymnastics to a high level the sport can only serve to enhance any other
activities for the future. Many of our ex-gymnasts go on to success at many other sports: Louise Butterworth, one of our past County Selections, has gone on to be ranked 3rd in England at Pole Vault and is the Under-23 champion.
The aim of the club is to provide gymnastics to children and adults in a safe environment. All the coaching staff are qualified British Gymnastics coaches and have been screened to ensure their suitability to work with children and vulnerable people. Gymnastics is a sport where children may require physical support and shaping by their coach when learning new skills and moves.
The club has both male and female coaches who will work with the children in the sessions.
Classes
The club offers a wide range of classes according to the age and ability of the gymnast. The classes range from parent and toddler to recreational and advanced, with the gymnasts using a variety of apparatus. All our classes are run in accordance with the British Gymnastics
guidelines
and are regularly monitored by the clubs management team. Competitive classes are by invitation only, after consultation with parents/guardians, coaches and gymnasts.
Class fees are payable in advance for 12 week terms. We close for two weeks at Christmas, one at Easter and one week in the summer holidays. Please speak to the Manager or any member of the management team for further details.

The current session timetables are listed here. It is possible that these times may change, so please contact us for details.
Competition Success
We participate in a range of competitions, for both squad and recreational gymnasts, which offer our gymnasts of all abilities the opportunity to compete. The club is proud of its competition success which has seen club members represent the County and compete at National level.
Your Support
As a parent / guardian we value the support and commitment that you give and we actively encourage two way communication so that we can offer your children an effective training programme and make their time with the club an enjoyable experience. We also welcome any time or involvement you may be able to offer the club yourself e.g. fundraising, committee membership, coaching and judging.
GymMark
In October 2004 the club was awarded both British Gymnastics GymMark and Sport England Club Mark accreditation. The British Gymnastics GymMark is awarded to clubs who prove to be effective, safe and child friendly.
