On Saturday 15th May 3 of our elite squad boys went to Birmingham to compete as part od the South West Team at the NDP British National Finals.

12 year old Sam Evans, competing in his 1st National Finals as part of the Level 4 S.W team, competed extremely well, individually he placed 45th overall, his best piece of apparatus being the vault where he placed 7th. Sam also helped his team to win the overall gold medal and become National L4 team Champions.

10 year old Bailey Toms was competing at his 2nd National Final; he was part of the S.W level 2 team. Individually he had a brilliant competition to be the highest SW scorer and placed 15th overall. Bailey’s top pieces were vault where he placed 3rd, PPP where he was 2nd and P Bars where he was 1st. Bailey helped his team to a 6th place finish.

9 year old George Honnor was competing in his 1st National Final; George was the second highest scorer in the South West Team and Overall placed a fantastic 8th place!!! George was 3rd on floor, 3rd on vault and 1st on PPP. George helped his team to finish in 3rd place and secure the bronze medal.

After impressing at the Finals, George has now won a place on a National Training camp which will be held at Lilleshall National Sports Centre during the summer holidays where he will train with some of the best gymnasts and coaches in Great Britain!!!

WELL DONE BOYS, WE ARE ALL EXCEPTIONALLY PROUD OF WHAT YOU HAVE ACHIEVED!!!
