On Sunday 8th November 2009 two of our elite squad gymnasts represented the South West at the club at the level 4 British Age Group Championships. Imogen and Charlie Plumridge who are both Devon and South West Squad members competed against the best 9 year olds in the Country.
The girls were selected to compete for the South West after impressive performances at the Regional Qualifiers; they girls were joined in the team by 3 gymnasts from Bristol.
Both girls had extremely good competitions helping the South West to finish in an impressive 5th place. Individually the girls excelled both finishing in the top half and placing 2nd and 3rd in the South West team.
Imogen Plumridge – 19th place overall
Charlie Plumridge – 21st place overall and 4th on bars.
Charlie who also competed at the British Compulsory Grade 4 earlier on in the year is now ranked 19th in Great Britain, this is a fantastic achievement!!
