Club Captain 2008 – 2009 (Charis Ridge) Our Girls club captain for 2008 – 2009 is Intermediate gymnast Charis Ridge. Charis has been with the club for several years and has progressed through the classes and now trains with our intermediate squad and competes regularly at the Buddy Competitions. Charis started in our Saturday 9.30 class when she used to come to gym in her ‘tiger top’; she has always been a pleasure to coach and has an enthusiasm which is contagious. Charis has recently started coaching in our Wednesday Recreational class where she coaches a group of children aged 6 – 8 yrs, the girls all love Charis and respect her. As a coach Charis is kind, mature and always willing to help, she is a pleasure to be around. Charis is extremely approachable and all the younger gymnasts love her, Charis competes at the Buddy Competition as was part of the O/15 team that became team champions in 2008. We hope that Charis will continue to strive to improve in her gymnastics and her coaching.
