On Sunday 25th September 2011 3 of our elite squad girls went to Wiltshire to compete at the Regional Age Group Championships.

Hollie Perkin and Brooke Payne both aged 9 competed in the level 4 group, both girls competed extremely well against the best 9 year olds in the South West Region. Brooke finished in 10th place overall, her highlight being her bar routine, Hollie who had a clean competition and scored 12.00 on both beam and floor placed 3rd overall. Hollie will now go on to the British Age Group National Finals in Guilford in November where she will compete as part of the South West Team!

The girls were also competing for a Regional Ranking; the girls score from today’s competition was added to their Compulsory 4 score which they got earlier on in the year. Brooke is now ranked 8th and Hollie 3rd in the South West for Level 4. This is a fantastic result for both girls who have worked exceptionally hard this year.

Imogen Plumridge was competing in the Level 2 category, Imogen who had to have 10 weeks off due to an injury was competing for the first time this year since March. She did well to place 4th as she suffered a few uncharacteristic falls on beam; her top scoring piece was her vault and floor. Imogen also qualified for National Finals and will represent the club in Guilford in November at the British Age Group level 2 Championships.
