SouthWest National and Elite Compulsory Grades – 14.3.10

On Sunday 14th March 5 of our elite squad girls travelled up to Wiltshire to take either their National Grade 8 or Elite Compulsory grade 3. All girls performed brilliantly to pass their grade with ease. These grades are used as a qualifier to select the South West team that will represent the Region at the National Grade Finals in Birmingham.

National Grade 8

Emily Philbin – 3^rd overall, 2^nd on range which is not included in total score
Amy Philbin – 4^th overall, 1^st on Range which is not included in total score
Olivia Dean – 22^nd overall

Elite Compulsory grade 3

ImogenPlumridge – Overall Champion
Charlie Plumridge – 4^th overall

The top 5 in each grade are selected as part of the team that will represent the Region at the National Grade finals. Amy and Emily will be heading up to Birmingham on the 24th April to compete against gymnasts from across G.B in the National 8 Finals.

Imogen will be competing on the 15th May 2010 in Birmingham against the best 9 and 10 year olds in the Country, this will be the first competition of the year that will determine the 2011 National Squad. Although Charlie finished in 4th place overall, she had to re take her Range and Conditioning and therefore is unable to compete at Nationals.

Well done to all the girls that competed, we are all extremely proud of you!!!
