UK Alpha Factor 10th 11th September 2010

On Friday 10th September Emily Philbin headed up to Wiltshire to compete in only her 2nd ever National Competition, she was competing in the level 4 10 + 11yrs category against 52 gymnasts from across the United Kingdom.

Emily had a FANTASTIC competition finishing in 5th place overall and earning herself a silver ribbon on bars and a bronze on beam and floor.

On Saturday 11th September we had 3 of our youngest gymnasts competing in the Level 4 8 yrs category; this was a very strong competition and was a chance for young elite gymnasts to experience a National Competition. In this age group we had Hollie Perkin, Lucy Jayne Price and Brooke Payne all competing in only their 3rd proper competition and first national event. Overall Hollie was the top scorer and placed 12th, she also won a gold ribbon on bars.

On the Saturday afternoon we had Imogen and Charlie Plumridge and Amy Philbin competing in the level 3 10 yrs age group. This is an extremely strong age group, with many of the gymnasts in National Squad. All 3 girls made uncharacteristic mistakes to keep them down the rankings. All 3 girls will be competing in the Regional Level 3 Championships in 2 weeks, good luck girls!
